Allowing ourselves deep rest through yoga, breath and relaxation can help us to restore our inner resources. This practice of conscious relaxation focuses on simple yoga postures in supported positions, encouraging deep release in the body and a peaceful, meditative state in the mind.
It is a calm and accessible practice based in kindness and self care. Pairing breath work and an extended time in each posture allows for a quieting of the nervous system. Ease is brought into the body through the use of bolsters, blankets and blocks, propping the body fully and allowing us to soften.
This workshop will also offer optional hands-on assisting - providing gentle feedback to move deeper into a state of relaxation.
